Devon took the CD on the top of the pile and put it at the bottom of the pile. Gasping, as I knew what CD he just moved I was worried, confused, and sad.
I’m sorry. I like to dance and wanted you to join me. Something fun to do.” My eyes were sad and fearful, as I responded.
“I am expecting a phone call. So, we got to speed up a bit.” Starting to get worried, I could feel my hands shaking myself as I told him.
You shouldn’t be worried or scared to live here. You should feel safe to be on campus where ever that may be, and you are your own person, an adult.” Paula hugged me and left
“It’s Easter, I do not think the pool is open.” When I worked at the pool back home we were always closed the full Easter weekend.
“You lied to me!” Fire spitting from his voice stung the back of my neck like a bee sting. Devon spun me around grabbing my upper arms. In shock wide eyed my voice squeaked “What do you mean?”
With even more anger in his face Devon snapped back “I was worried sick, I thought you were dead in a ditch! I called the hospitals looking for you!”
“What about officially dating?” Devon took me in his arms and kissed me again, hard.
I looked at my paper on the desk and took a breath. With my hand I lightly hit myself in the head on my forehead. The teacher was encouraging and supportive. “Keep trying Aime, you are doing great.” I knew I wasn’t doing as good as the other kids in the class.
