Clearing my throat, I said “Uuummm…. Candy, I wrote something, and I would love to know what you think.” CRACK! I took a breath after I said it. Thinking to myself “The heart is starting to heal Aime.”
“Boots, you need a good pair to run in, in the winter. And many of the responders sleep in their boots during a night shift.”
I spotted the pumpkin orange metal chairs that the EFRT sat on when they were covering pub nights. This was one night where they were for sure needed.
We looked at each other. I almost puked yet stood strong as I could. Thinking to myself “Why does he show up when I’m trying to forget about him?”
“I think you need to go and talk with Tessa. Tell her what happened. You need to be safe.” Julie said to me.
I was out in public on campus and a new group of students and their parents were coming towards me, and I had to help them. I had to keep moving.
